Text: Proverbs 20:16-30
Proverbs 20:17, 27
Stolen bread tastes sweet, but it turns to gravel in the mouth…The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.”
God designed our conscience (spirit) to light up our inner man and prick us when we consider evil. Our soul naturally enjoys stolen bread (dark secrets). But when this candle that was quenched by Adamic sin is lit at conversion, it exposes and expunges dark desires of the soul.
God is not responsible for our gravel-filled mouth if we quench the candle He lit in us. Once a stolen bread begins to taste sweet in our mouth, it is a sign of a quenched candle. Cry out for fire on time!
Father, light up every spirit that is drawn to the pleasure of stolen bread in Jesus name
