Anxiety doesn’t just impact us physically, it takes over everything and we become paralyzed with fear. It creeps in unawares and forces us to spend time analyzing situations we cannot control. One minute you’re fine ; the next, you’re swept off in a wave of emotional and mental chaos. Then you’re gripped with uneasiness of anxiety worry and fear all at once.
Isaiah 12:2 God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid, for the lord Jehovah is my strength and song; He has become also my salvation.
Our minds and heart must find an anchor so as to remain calm at such moments. Such anchor is found nowhere else than in God’s word. We must arm ourselves with Scriptures when we are in the right state of mind so that when anxiety and worry attack we are ready.
God demands our total dependence on him. He doesn’t want us to go about figuring out things all on our own. The scriptures is full of God’s promises concerning such situations. We only need to repeat the word consistently until the truth overcomes every other thing we know.
Isaiah 41:10 so, do not fear I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Fear, worry and anxiety are all weapons of Satan to keep us from experiencing the full life that God has for us. But by hiding scriptures in our heart we can unmask the devil’s strategy whenever he brings his uneasiness to our soul.
Philippians 4:6 do not be anxious for anything but in every situation by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving make your request known to God.
