DUTY TO MISSIONS
Jesus commanded his disciples in Mathew 28:19.
Go ye, therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the father, and of the son, and of the holy Ghost (KJV)
The duty to preach is for every believer. Through the apostolic ministry and the power of the Holy Spirit the word of God has spread to every corner of the earth. Many have also been called in various capacities as anointed, inspired and ordained preachers.
These persons spend their entire life spreading the gospel. We must appreciate all ordained preachers who are earnestly building the kingdom. 3John 5-8 says it is our duty to welcome persons of this sort and contribute our share towards their labour for the faith. May God bless you if you are keeping this command.
If you’re born again, you are under obligation to preach the word of God. We are saved to help save others. For
“Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. How can they call on him on whom they have not believed and how can they believe in him of whom they have not heard and how can anyone preach unless they are sent”. (Romans 10:14-17)
The word of God is a seed that must be diligently sown in the hearts of men because the Gospel is the only effective weapon to pull down arguments in the hearts of men, release them from the bondage of Satan and translate them into God’s kingdom of light.
Jesus is sending you today. He says in 2Timothy 4:2 “preach the word, be instant in season, out of season. Reproof rebuke and exhort. The time to do this is now tomorrow may be too late.
