Titus chapter 2:11-14 gives us a thorough definition of what the grace of God is. It’s intent and power. Accordingly it says;
“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our saviour Jesus Christ. Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify onto himself a peculiar people zealous for good works”.
This morning, in the words of Hillsong United rendered in a French song: Merci Jesu, we join thousands of believers world over to appreciate God for this wondrous grace which did not only save us but has set us apart for every good work. If you have been washed and cleansed and made whole by his blood, then live constantly in the shadow of this grace for it is not of you but of him who gives you power to do all things.
